MICROBLADING
Microblading is a semi-permanent pigmentation technique used to create the illusion of fuller brows. Our microblading artist will chose the best brow shape for the clients face, as well as a colour that matches their natural hair colour and skin undertone. A handheld tool is then used to manually draw hair strokes into the upper layers of the skin to create the desired fullness and shape of the brows. As the color is deposited closer to the surface of the skin, the strokes appear fine and crisp without spilling or bleeding underneath the skin.
Microblading is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows.
People suffering from alopecia, trigonometrical or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from microblading, as well as people who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows. The results are natural looking hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of the hair you currently have.
FAQ:
How does Microblading work?
Microneedling involves a very fine blade to manually deposit pigment into the epidermis. The microblading artist first marks out the best shape for your eyebrow with the help of custom tools and uses color matching techniques to prepare your custom eyebrow color. The microblading manual pen is equipped with sterile packaged blades which glide with gentle pressure over the skin and cause fine cuts, leaving a trace that can resembles real hair. Depending on the drawing technique – an individual look is created that is perfectly customized for the clients face and the style they are trying to achieve.
How long do Microblading take to show results?
Microblading results are experienced almost immediately. However, the ink will begin to fade slightly within 1- 6 weeks as the skin scabs fall off. This is why a follow-up treatment is mandatory after 6-8 weeks, where the artist goes back in and does a touch up. Post touch-up, results will improve and will last for 18-24 months. The length that these results last vary from one individual to another, their life style, skin conditions, medical history and how they take care of their eyebrows.
Does Microblading hurt?
Microblading is a well-tolerated, almost pain free treatment, thanks to the topical anesthetic that is applied on the treatment area 10 - 15 mins prior to treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
All patients see results right away. However, a touch up treatment is required after 6-8 weeks to add fine touch to the strokes. Maintenance treatments are recommended once a year or every 18 months. This touch-up will involve adding pigment to the outline of the brows that you have already.
How should I prepare for my Microblading treatment?
We recommend our clients to temporarily discontinue any retinol, retinoids, vit A creams 5-7 days prior to the treatment. Additionally avoid any blood thinning medications or supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil), Caffeine, Gingko Biloba, or Ginseng prior to treatment 24 hours prior to treatment. This will help minimize bleeding during treatment or bruising after the procedure. Protection of the skin again UV radiation immediately after treatment is very important to avoid any post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.
Does Microblading involve any downtime?

Microblading involves minimal downtime. Most patients experience redness in the treated area immediately after the treatment, which can last up to 24 hrs. The skin will begin to scab within 12 - 48 hrs and will take 7 - 10 days to heal. Some clients experience swelling which will resolve within 1-3 days. Swelling may impact the symmetry of the work done over the following week. If the strokes disappear/flake off, it takes the pigment roughly 4 weeks to resurface. For the first 4 to 6 days the eyebrows will appear bold and dark, the colour will drop by 20 -40 percent and thickness by 10 to 15 percent after the brows have fully healed.
